Appearance of the blog

These last pictures are some pictures that were sent to us from mom and dad. I put these up because some people may not have seen them; additionally to show that the most current posting appears at the top of the blog.

Family Emails

I know this has been distributed before, but leave it to me to lose it. Could we get a current list of everyone's emails posted to this blog? That would be great! Julie

Ours are sidwellfamily@hotmail.com (standard one used) and sidwellfamily7@gmail.com (a new one I just created while signing up for this blog).

Summer Fun

Just some random summer shots.... Caleb in Flag Football, Ben and Luke on the first day of school, Josh at my Grandma's 90th Birthday Party (the buttons were just sitting on the table...), Emma waiting to go to church in her new summer dress, Ben with one of the original Munchkins who came to see their production of Wizard of Oz, Emma with a Slurpee, Luke playing Baseball, and the kids on the Fourth of July.

Bear Lake over Memorial Day Weekend

We are a family of hats. Not by choice, but rather by genetics! Sunburn and allergic reactions to sunscreen pretty much have doomed all outdoor family photos. Of course, the nerd gene has its own effect on most photo-ops!

Our Trip to the Redwoods

These are some pics from our camping trip to the Redwood National Park in June. The Redwoods were AMAZING! I think this trip just might have been my favorite National Park so far. I probably say that after each year and each new park we visit, but I really loved the Redwoods! I wish I were a better photographer so that I could get some decent scenic shots, but I stick to the candid family moments and buy a professional photographer's picture book at each park's visitor center instead.

Camping in the Tetons

Here are some more snapshots and silliness. We camped in the Teton National Park over Labor Day weekend. It was beautiful. Of course it did rain most of the time (hence the great hair), but the mountains and the surrounding valley still managed to be breathtaking. Unfortunately, we did not fare quite as well, but camping pics are never glamorous!

My Maiden Blog

Hello to one and all! Kudos to whoever decided to start an extended family blog. What a great way to keep in touch since we are now spread across the four corners of the earth. I should note that I have never blogged before, and I am somewhat technologically challenged, so please accept my apologies in advance as I work through the blogging learning curve! I just wanted to say we love you all and (Willie Nelson music please....) you are always on our minds. The above pics are of the kids at Jackson Lake in the Tetons over Labor Day weekend. Pretty typical....the boys smiling, Emma trying to run the world (and mostly succeeding). I will be posting some pics of the kids for the sake of Grandma and Grandpa. The rest of you just humor me!
